Your purpose is at the heart of what we do.
We are a purpose driven communications consultancy with a narrative based approach.
We work with C-suite leaders and founders in their journey to be communicators. Our goal is to help combine distinctive personality styles with inventive storytelling to sharpen their presence and also shape their social media narrative.
Our services are designed to support companies reimagine and repurpose or simply create and define their purpose and positioning. We create frameworks and content for culture, crisis, and customer communications. And if what you seek is communications counsel, we are more than happy to help.
Our offerings are customised to suit your requirements, because when it comes to communications and content, we believe one size should not fit all.
Simply put, we make communications look good on you.

Meet Tejaswi.
She has spent 25 years in the field of public relations working with several iconic brands and for one of India’s foremost communication agencies – Ogilvy, where she was Managing Partner, National Trainer, and Content Lead at Ogilvy PR. Prior to that, she worked at Lowe, one of the Inter Public Group companies.
She has counselled and coached several companies and C-suite leaders. She has been a guest speaker at MICA, Ahmedabad and JLU, Bhopal.
One of the reasons she started Different Pursuits was to offer one-on-one guidance, focussed time, and solutions to clients. The other was to follow her personal pursuits.
Outside of work, she likes practicing yoga, running, and writing but never at the same time. She writes poems, stories, articles (closet writer), travels or strums a guitar (strictly occasionally and rather unsuccessfully), and targets learning one new skill a year (ranges from cooking to skiing). Her favourite line is “No matter how detailed your checklist; the Universe is a better planner than you.”

Communications Advisory
We provide ongoing and/or specific communications advisory services for local and international companies.
We guide founders and C-suite leaders on the best way to connect with stakeholders and facilitate a personality and positioning approach. We craft stakeholder communications and storyline to achieve specific interaction goals. We also conduct country and culture immersion for international executives.
Our custom advisory services for companies focus on customer communications, crisis framework, narrative development among others. We have also developed a compelling strategic vision and presence for start-ups.
Communications Guidebook
Our communications manual is designed to provide techniques that allow you to handle media in situations you are likely to find yourself in.
Sometimes, questions such as “How do I look?”, “Will I be misquoted?” “Why do they want to ask me this?” seem more important than “What do I want to say?”
Our manual focuses on two key questions “What do I want to say?” and “How should I say it?”
It complements our media coaching module.
What’s Your Story?
We must admit, we tend to be sharply focussed on this one. We also ask our clients some tough questions here. After all, the golden rule for any communication is the ultimate answer to the question “What exactly are you trying to say?”
Which is why this is perhaps one of the most important pieces of content for any company – big or small. Our message framework techniques also help you answer the question “Why should I believe you?”
Did we mention tough questions?
Purpose and Culture
To paraphrase the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland, if you don’t know where you want to go, it really doesn’t matter which road you take to get there.
We have an inherent curiosity about culture. A company’s character is sketched by it, along with its purpose and values. This trifecta can be a company’s North Star and lay a foundation for the future because strong foundations build great companies.
Our purpose and culture playbook is an encapsulation of this journey that we take with the company. It should ideally find its way to every desk and its spirit should reflect in every action.
About
We enjoy working collaboratively with our clients, as a team. Which is why only limited assignments are undertaken at a time.
All the assignments are led by Tejaswi, who has nearly 25 years of experience in communications, having spent a better part of it in one of India’s foremost communication agencies.
She has worked with corporates across sectors such as FMCG, financial services, infrastructure, logistics, hospitality, tourism, and has a deep understanding of brand communications.
Executive Coaching
We help our clients define communications skill sets they would like to cultivate or sharpen the ones they already have.
Our goal is to help them be better communicators and create lasting impressions.
Content Creation
Sometimes, we also help find what those dots are. We undertake content creation assignments that serve a larger communications purpose.
We have helped companies articulate who they are, what they stand for, and who they help.
Presentation Skills Guidebook
Dale Carnegie said “There are always three speeches, for everyone you actually gave. The one you practiced, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave.”
Presenting to an audience can be nerve wracking. Our manual provides techniques to enhance your presentation and speaking skills. It complements our presentation skills module.
Crisis Manual
Our crisis manual is a customised guidebook for crisis identification and response. It can be as detailed as you need it to be, covering possible crisis scenarios and suggested responses, crisis contact framework, guidelines for first line responders, spokespersons preparatory, etc.
It is usually the culmination of our crisis advisory services and complements our crisis training module.
Crisis
A crisis leaves no answers unquestioned.
We have designed and reimagined crisis response framework for companies seeking to be prepared for any eventualities.
Majority of crisis situations can be averted if identified in time. Our ‘Crisis Grading Matrix’ tool allows companies to arm their team members to identify a potential situation before it can overwhelm resources and reputation.
We conduct training programs for senior executives as well as first responders on how to prepare for and respond in a crisis.
